W. Reavis           §     This Indenture made this 9th day of August One Thousand
J. H. Reavis       §     eight (sic hundred?) and twenty one between, William Reavis
        to                 §     & John H. Reavis of Wake County, and State of N. Carolina
Isham Holding §     of the one part and Isham Holding of the County & State aforesaid
of the other part Witnesseth that the said William & John Reavis hath for and in consideration of the Sum of three hundred and thirty Six dollars to them in hand paid by the said Isham Holding the receipt whereof the Wm. & John Reavis doth hereby acknowledge, themselves to be well satisfied and paid hath bargained and sold unto the sd. Isham Holding his heirs assigns forever, a certain tract or parcel of land, lying and being in the County of Wake, and State of N.C. on the waters of Smiths (?) Creek, on the West side of Hatters Creek, Beginning at a red oak on the ridge path thence down sd. path Southwardly to a pine Davis Battles corner thence Westwardly along a line of choped trees to a corner ash, on a Branch, Known by the name of the Mill branch thence down the various courses of said Branch, to a maple Sam Alstons corner thence a strait line to a poplar on Hatters Creek Sam Alstons other corner, thence up the various courses of sd. creek to a dogwood and black Gum Isham Holding corner, thence a strait line to the Beginning, his own corner, containing one hundred and twenty five acres be the same more or less to have and to hold, the sd. Land and premises together with all the appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining to him the said Isham Holding his heirs or assigns forever and Wm. & John Reavis for themselves & their heirs will well and truly warrant and forever defend against the claim or claims of any person or persons whatsoever in Witness whereof the said Wm. & John Reavishave hereunto set their hands and Seals the day and date above written.

          The within Deed was in open court duly proven by the Oath of Jas. Hicks a Witness thereto and ordered to be Registered.
