THIS INDENTURE made and entered into this 29th day of July 1823 between James Rosseau Thomas Rousseau, William Rousseau and Margaret Rousseau his wife, Joseph King and Polly King his wife Parham Buckner and Sarah Buckner his wife and Gatewood Dunn and Elizabeth Dunn his wife of the State of Georgia heirs and legal representatives of Jane Rousseau who was sister and heir of Samuel Reeves deceased late of Mason County Kentucky parties of the first part by Austin S. Reeves their attorney in fact, and George W. Reeve of the county of Mason and state of Kentucky os the second part. Witnesseth That the said parties of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of three hundred and fifty dollars current money of the United States to them in hand paid by the said party of the second part the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged have granted bargained sold and aliened and by these presents do grant bargain alien and confirm unto the said party of the second part all their right title and interest to and in a certain tract or parcel of land containing about one hundred and fifty acres of which Samuel Reeves deced possessed situate lying and being in the county of Mason and state of Kentucky adjoining the lands on which the said Austin S. Reeves now resides being the one undivided fifth part of the said tract of one hundred and fifty acres of land of which the said Samuel Reeves aforesaid died possessed to which the said parties of the first part are entitled as heirs at law of Jane Rousseau who was a sister and one of the heirs at law of the said Samuel Reeves deceased. To have and to hold the said undivided fifth part of the said tract of one hundred and fifty acres of land of which the said Samuel Reeves deceased was possessed at his death to him the said George W Reeves the said party of the second part and his heirs and assigns, forever; and the said parties of the first part by their said agent and attorney in fact Austin S. Reeves do by these presents Covenant and agree with the said George W. Reeves the said party of the second part that they will warrant and forever defend unto the said party of the second part and unto his heirs and assigns the title to the premises hereby conveyed with all and singular the appurtenances thereunto belonging against the claim and claims of all persons whatsoever.
