Be it remembered this twenty third day of the February in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty four - that I William Reeve of Evesham in the County of Burlington State of New Jersey, being in good health and of sound mind, do make and ordain this to be my last will and testament.
Item. I order all my just debts and funeral charges to be paid.
Item I direct and authorize my executors herein after named to make sale of all or ay part of my real estate either by public or at private sale, unless it should be by them thought best to divide it, in either case the money if sold and the land if divided I give equally (after paying the debts & funeral charges as above mentioned) share & share alike to my eight children (viz) Josiah M. Reeve, Elizabeth M. Reeve, Leatitia Reeve, William F. Reeve, Mark M. Reeve, Priscilla S. Reeve, Richard M Reeve and Emmor Reeve to them their heirs and assigns forever but it is my will that in case my son Richard should continue same at the time of division that he have the sum of one hundred dollars in addition to his share from each of my other children shares
And should any of my children die without lawful issue, my will is that their shares of the estate as mentioned above equally divided share and share alike between my surviving children. And further my will is, that the sale or division above mentioned be discretionary with my executors to do which ever they may think best for the benefit of my children at any time within five years after my decease.
Item. I authorize and request my executors to educate or cause to be educated my minor children sufficiently to fit them for the proper transacting of business: the expence of education to be paid out of my general estate untill the division takes place; and I authorize and request my executors to place them out to learn some mechanical trade, or husbandry, always prefering as man or master that works or attends to his business personally, and to put or place them under indenture if they think necessary or best.
Item. Lastly I hereby constitute nominate and appoint my sons Josiah M Reeve & William F Reeve, with my trusty friend & kinsman John Sheppard of Greenwich, County of Cumberland & State of New Jersey to be my executors and hereby authorize and empower them to convey my lands and property agreeably to the directions before mentioned, as fully & effectually as I myself can do.

John Evans one of the witnesses to the within will alleging himself to be conscientiously scrupulous of taking oath and being duly affirmed according to law doth declare and say that he saw William Reeve the testator therein named deceased sign and seal the same & the addition thereto in different ink from the body of the will and in the handwriting of this affirmant being first made and heard him publish pronounce and declare the within writing to be his last will and testament that at the time of the doing thereof the said testator was of sound and ? mind and memory so far as this affirmant knows and as he verily believes, and that Josiah Foster, Thomas Evens Jr and Thomas Wells the other subscribing evidences were present at the same time and signed the same as witness to the said will together with this affirmant in the presence of the said testator
