On motion of the plaintiff by James P. Taylor her attorney ordered that she be allowed the sum of forty dollars for the first years maintenance of a Bastard child born of her body, of which the Defendant Joseph Vance stands charged to be the reputed father, and that she be also allowed the further sum of thirty Dollars for the second years maintenance of said child, which said second year is now completed and ended, and it is further considered and ordered that the said Joseph Vance and John Grimes his security for the maintenance of said child pay the aforesaid several sums of forty dollars and thirty dollars and that execution issue accordingly.

The defenants who stand bound by recognizance for their appearance at this Court to answer the charge exhibited against them in the above prosecution this day appeared accordingly, likewise the prosectuor and prosecutrix, and AHenry General - And the prosecutor and prosecutrix still requiring security of the peace against said defendants, whereupon, the promises being considered and by the court fully understood it is ordered that the warrant and complaint aforesaid be dismissed and that the defendants be hence discharged, and it is further ordered that George Wright the prosecutor pay the costs in their behalf expended.

This day came as well the Attorney General as the Defendant in her proper person who for plea to the Indictment says she is guilty in manner and form as therein against her is alledged and puts herself in the mercy of the Court, therefore it is considered that the defendant for such her offence be fined, forfeit and pay to the State of Tennessee the sum of Five Dollars and pay the costs of the prosecution, Whereupon came Moses Reaves and undertook and assumed the payment of the fine and costs aforesaid in the room and stead of said Defendant. It is therefore considered that the State of Tennessee recover against the said Moses Reaves the fine and costs aforesaid according to his assumpsit, and that execution may issue.

This day came as well the attorney General as the Defendant in his proper person who being charged on the indictment for plea says that he is guilty in manner and form as therein against him is alledged and puts himself on the mercy of the court. Therefore it is considered that the defendant for such his offence be fined forfeit and pay to the State of Tennessee the sum of twenty five cents and pay the costs of this prosecution. Whereupon came Moses Reaves and undertook and assumed the payment of the fine and costs aforesaid for and on behalf of said Defendant. It is therefore considered that the state of Tennessee recover against the said Moses Reaves the fine and costs aforesaid according to his assumpsit, and that execution may issue.

Nancy Reaves Defendant                                       }
This day came as well the Attorney General as the Defendant in her proper person, and on motion of the attorney general, ordered that a Nolli prosigui be entered in this prosecution and thereupon Moses Reaves in his proper person assumes the costs of said prosecution. It is therefore considered that the State of Tennessee recover against the said Moses Reaves the costs of this prosecution according to his assumption, and that execution may issue.

The motion of the plaintiff by James P. Taylor, her attorney, ordered that she be allowed the sum of Twenty Dollars for the third years maintenance of a bastard child, born of her body, wherewith the Defendant Joseph Vance stands charged according to law to be the reputed father. And it is further considered and ordered that the said Joseph Vance and John Grimes his security for the maintenance of said child pay said allowance and pay the costs of this motion and the plaintif's attorney agrees to stay execution on this allowance three months.
