State of Georgia }Columbia County } This Indenture made this the eighteenth day of December in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and thirty five and of the Independence of the United States the Sixtieth, Between Malachi Guy of the one part and Charles Reeves of the other part. Witnesseth that the said Malachi Guy for and in consideration of the sum of six hundred dollars to him in hand at and before the sealing and delivering of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath granted bargained sold and conveyed and do by these presents grant bargain and sell and convey unto the said Charles Reeves his heirs and assigns, Two hundred acres of land situate lying and being in the State and County aforesaid, and on Headstall Creek it being a part of two surveys, the one granted to M. Felts hunt and the other N. Offutt, beginning on headstall Creek on a block gum corner, thence running Westwardly fifty rod to a stake Corner made by Guy and Hood on the old line, thence Northly to Mulberry Branch, to a pine Corner made by Guy and Hood thence up the run of the Branch to where it intersects the little Branch thence up the little Branch to a stake corner on the old original line, then N. W. to the persimmon in the Long Branch, then down the run of said Long Branch to the Creek, and then down the run of the Creek to the beginning corner, two hundred acres be the same more or less unto him the said Charles Reeves his heirs and assigns. - To have and to hold forever in fee simple. And I the said Malachi Guy do bind myself my heirs and assigns do forever warrant and defend the said land and premises or against the claim or claims of all and every other persons whatsoever unto the said Charles Reeves his heirs and assigns.
