Transcript

In the name of God Amen I Timothy Reeves of the District of Kensington County of Philadelphia Dealer being sick and weak in Body but of Sound mind memory and understanding (praised be God for it) and considering the certainty of death and the uncertainty of the time thereof and to the end I may be the better prepared to Leave the World whenever it shall please God to call me hence, do therefore make and declare this my last Will and Testament in manner following that is to say.
First and principally I commend my soul in to the hands of Almighty God my Creator, hoping for free pardon and Remission of all my sins and to enjoy everlasting happiness in the heavenly kingdom through Jesus Christ my Saviour my Body I commit to the earth at the discretion of my executrix herein after named
Item first I will that all my just debts as shall be by me owing at my death together with all my personal expenses and charges touching the proving or otherwise concerning this my Last Will shall in the first place out of my personal estate and effects be fully paid and satisfied
Item Second the Residue of my goods chattels and household furniture together with a house and Lot Ground Situate in Hewson? Street in the district aforesaid I give and bequeath to my loving wife Jane Reeves during her natural Life with power to sell the house & lot to pay of the debt if any shall remain in at my death shall place the Ballane in some safe depository for her own benefit except fifty dollars which I give and bequeath to my son William B Reeves amediately after my death which shall be in full for services Rendered since he has become of age
Item 3d I will that after the death of Jane Reeves my wife that all my Real and personal property that Remaind in her hands at the time of her death I give and bequeath the same to my three children Joseph Reeves Maria Hunt and William B Reeves share and share alike.
Lastly I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint my loving wife Jane Reeves to be my executrix of this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all former wills by me made and do declare this only to be my Last Will and Testament In witness whereof I the said Timothy Reeves the testator have hereunto set my hand and seal the twenty fifth day of February in the year of our Lord one Thousand Eight hundred and thirty seven

Registers O Office July 27th 1840 then Personally appeared Samuel Meeyant? & John C Hughes the subscribing witnesses to the foregoing will and on their affirmation & oath did say that they were present and did see and hear Timothy Reeves (now deceased) the Testator therein named make his mark seal publish and declare the same as and for his Last Will and Testament and that at the doing thereof he was of sound disposing mind memory & understanding to the best of their knowledge & belief
