Solomon C. Bingaman
This Indenture made this 26th day of May 1837 by and between John Reeves and Nancy his wife of the county of Brown and State of Ohio of the one part and Solomon C. Bingaman of the county and State aforesaid of the other part witnesseth that the said John Reeves for and in consideration of he sum of three hundred dollars to him in hand paid by the said Bengamin hath granted bargained and sold confirmed and conveyed to the said Bengamin his heirs executors administrators and assigns forever all that tract or parcel of land lying and being in he county and State of Ohio aforesaid on the west of Whitcoak creek containing one hundred and five acres b the same more or less it being part of a survey of 240 acres pattened to the heirs of John H. Foster decd patent bearing date June 8th 1806 bounded and described as follows to wit Beginning at a Gum and maple south west corner to James Vances land in the line of the original survey No. 3614 thence with said line south 82° west one hundred and forty eight poles to 2 maples hickory and beech southwest corner to said survey thence with said line North 8° East one hundred and forty two poles to a stone corner to James Wardlaws land thence with said line north 82 1/2° east one hundred and five poles to two elms in the line of Thomas Shrouses land thence with his line and sd Vances south 8° east one hundred and thirty one poles to the beginning to have and to hold said tract of land unto him the said Bingaman his heirs and assigns forever and the said John Reeves and Nancy his wife for themselves and for their heirs executors and administrators covenant & promise to and with the said Solomon C Bengamin his heirs and assigns that they the are fully seized of the premises aforesaid that they have good right and lawful authortiy to sell and convey the same in manner and form aforesaid and further that they the said John Reeves and Nancy his wife will well and truly warrant and forever defend the premises herein and hereby granted unto the said Solomon C Bengamin and to his heirs and assigns against the lawfull claims and demands of all and every person whomsoever. In testimony whereof the said John Reeves and Nancy his wife party of the first part have hereunto set their hands and seals the day and year first above written

Before me John Allen a Justice of the peace in and for said county personally appeared the above named John Reeves and Nancy his wife and acknowledged the signing and sealing of the within and above conveyance to be their voluntary act and deed the said Nancy being at the same time examined by me separate and apart from her said husband and the contents made know to her by me she then declared that she did voluntarily sign seal and acknowledge the same and that she is still satisfied therewith this 26th day of May 1837
