Transcript

I (Selah Reeve) of the town of Southold State of New York being of sound mind in my last will and testament do give and be queath my property in the following manner that is to say
To my oldest daughter Mary Jane I give five hundred dollars. I also give to my daughter Sarah Mariah five hundred dollars.
I also give to my daughters the use of the East room and bedroom as long as they remain single or unmarried but not to be rented.
To my five sons Isaac Reeve, Daniel Wells Reeve, Tuthill Reeve, James Harvy and Charles Henry Reeve I give and bequeath all the remainder of my property both real and personal undivided except to Daniel Wells I give any wearing apparel and to Tuthill Reeve my son I give all my mechanical tools.
I do further ordain and appoint my son Isaac and Joshua Wells executors to this my last will and testament made this December seventeenth in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty three and hereunto affix my name and seal.
