This Indenture made this thirty first day of December in the year of our lord one thousand eight hundred and forty four, Between Joseph J. Reeves & Susannah his wife, Robert F. Reeves, and Charles K. Cowgill & Sarah Ann his wife of the county of Burlington & State of New Jersey, and Job Reeves of the city of Philadelphia in the state of Pennsylvania party of the first part, and Thomas D. Budd of Pemberton in the county of Burlington aforesaid party of the second part witnesseth that the said party of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of five hundred & five dollars lawful money of the united States to them the said party of the first part in hand well & truly paid by the said party of the second part before the sealing & delivery of these presents the receipt whereof the said party of the first part do hereby acknowledge have granted bargained sold aliened released enfeoffed & confirmed and by these presents do grant bargain sell alien release convey & confirm unto the said party of the second part his heirs & assigns all that certain house & lot of land situate in the borough of Pemberton in the county of Burlington aforesaid of which Hope Reeves late of said county now deceased became seized by deed under the hands & seals of Abraham Bryan & Ann his wife duly executed bearing date the twenty fourth day of March AD one thousand eight hundred & thirty five recorded in book L3 of Deeds page 188 &c in the clerks office of the County of Burlington at Mount Holly and which by said deed is bounded as follows "Beginning at the north east corner of a lot no 5 on the westerly side of Hanover street corner to lot of John Hutchinson turns (1st) along the edge of Hanover street forty one feet to the lone of James Jackey's lot, thence (2d) along the line of said lacey westerly two hundred and eighty nine feet to Jarvis street, thence (3d) along the said Jarvis street to the corner of no 5 forty one feet thence 4th an easterly course along no 5 to Hanover street, the peace of Beginning containing twenty seven hundredths of an acre of land be the same more or less subject nevertheless to the payment of an annual amount ground cent of two dollars & thirty three cents to the heirs of James Pemberton deceased and subject also to the payment of the principal ? due & to become due upon a certain Bond & mortgage upon said premises given by said Hope Reeves in his life time to one Abraham Bryan which said mortgage is recorded in the office aforesaid in book - of mortgages page of which said house & lot of land the said Joseph J. Reeves, Robert F Reeves, Job Reeves & Sarha Ann Cowgill became seized as the only children & heirs at law of said Hope Reeves deceased she having died intestate together with all and singular the buildings improvements ways, woods, waters, water courses rights liberties priviledges hereditaments & appurtenances to the same belonging or in any wise appertaining and the reversion and reversions remainders & remainders rents issues & profits thereof & of every part and parcel thereof and also all the estate right title interest use possession property claim & demand whatsoever both in law & equity of them the said party of the first part of in and to the said premises with the appurtenances to have and to hold the said House & lot of land hereditaments premises hereby granted & every part and parcel thereof with the appurtenances unto the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns to the only proper use benefit & behoof of him the said party of the second part his heirs & assigns forever and the said Joseph J. Reeves, Robert F Reeves, Job Reeves & Charles R Gowgice of the party aforesaid of the first part for themselves their heirs executors & administrators do hereby covenant promise and grant to and with the said Thomas D Budd party of the second part his heirs & assigns that at the time of the sealing & delivery hereof they the said party of the first part are seized in their own right of an absolute & indefeasible estate of inheritance in fee simple of and in all & singular the premises hereby granted with the appurtenances and have good right full power & sufficient authority in the law to grant bargain sell and convey the same unto the said party of the second part his heirs & assigns forever according to the true intent & meaning of these presents and also that it shall & may be lawful for the said party of the second part his heirs & assigns at all times forever hereafter peaceably and quietly to have hold use occupy possess & enjoy the said premises with the appurtenances & every part and parcel thereof without the lawful let suit eviction interruption or disturbance of the said party of the first part their heirs or assigns or any other person or persons whomsoever lawfully claiming or to claim the same and that the said premises are free & clear and freely & clearly acquitted and discharged of & from all former mortgages judgments executions & of & from all other incumbrances whatsoever except the mortgage hereinbefore specified and lastly that they the said party of the first part and their heirs all and singular the said house & lot of land hereditaments & premises hereby granted with the appurtenances unto the said party of the second part his heirs & assigns & against them the said party of the first part and their heirs against all & every other person or persons whomsoever lawfully claiming or to claim the same shall and will warrant and forever defend In witness whereof the said party of the first part have hereunto set their hands and seals the day and year first above written

State of New Jersey SS: Be it known that on the thirty first day of December in the year of our lord one thousand eight hundred and forty four before me the subscriber one of the masters of the court of chancery of new jersey personally appeared Joseph J. Reeves and Susanna his wife, Robert F. Reeves, Job Reeves & Charles Cowgill & Sarah Ann his wife who are I am satisfied the grantors mentioned in the foregoing deed of conveyance and the contents thereof being by me first made known unto them they did thereupon acknowledged that they signed sealed and delivered the same as their voluntary act and deed, for the uses and purposes therein expressed and the said Susannah Reeves and Sarah Ann Cowgill being by me privately examined separate and apart from their said husbands further acknowledged that they executed the same freely without any fear threats or compulsion from them all which is certified by
