Be it Known that I Asa Reaves do give unto James Reeves one Gray horse, Known by the name Rohn, to hold the as his own property as his part of my Estate this September 8th 1845.

Commentary

There are no extant probate records in Lauderdale County for Asa Reaves who appears to have died sometime after the 1860 census was taken. The three deeds executed on this date to his children Eliza and James in addition to son-in-law John Sheubart appear to have been bequests made in lieu of a will.
