This Indenture made this Twenty eight day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty five Between Charles Reeve & Mariah his wife Jacob Reeve & Phebe H his wife Joseph H Reeve & Mary S his wife David Reeve & Electa M his wife Samuel Badgely & Betsey his wife John Clark & Nancy his wife and Stephen Townley & Sarah C his wife of the township of Springfield in the County of Essex and State of New Jersey of the first part and Isaac Reeve of the township of Springfield in the County of Essex and State of New Jersey of the second part - Witnessed that the said Charles Reeve & Maria his wife Jacob Reeve & Phebe H his wife Joseph H Reeve & Mary S his wife David Reeve & Electa M. his wife Samuel Badgley & Betsy his wife John Clark & Nancy his wife and Stephen Tennly & Sarah C his wife for and in consideration of the sum of one dollar lawful money of the United States of America to them in hand well and truly paid by the said party of the second part at and before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged and the said parties of the first part thereunto fully satisfied content and paid have recused? released and forever quit claimed and by these presents do demise release and forever quit claim unto the said party of the second part and to his heirs and assigns all that lot tract or parcel of land and premises hereafter particularly described situate lying and being in the township of Springfield in the County of Essex and State of New Jersey Beginning in the middle of the road leading from Springfield to Canoe Brook at a corner of lands formerly of Elias Reeve decd thence running along said line north fifty nine degrees forty minutes east twelve chains seventy five links thence south forty five degrees east two chains seventy five links thence north sixty five degrees forty minutes east nine chain eighty six links to the Dickinson line thence along the same south twenty seven degrees east seven chain to the old saw mill dam thence south sixty five degrees fifty minutes next twenty three chain twenty two links to the middle of the road aforesaid thence along said road north twenty seven degrees west eight chain thirty one links to the place of beginning containing eighteen acres more or less N. B. there has been three acres & sixty nine hundredths sold out of said tract which leaves fourteen acres and thirty one hundredths which Belonged to Daniel Reeve late decd & Brother to Elias & Isaac Reeve late decd and now in the ? of Isaac Reeve the party of the second part above named NB. this was copyed from a quit claim deed dated the 5th day of April 1824 together with all and singular the profits priviledges and advantages with the appurtenances to the same belonging or in any wise appertaining also all the estate right title interest property claim and demand whatsoever of the said parcels of the first part of in and to every part and parcel thereof. To have and to hold all and singular the above described tract a lot of land and premises with the appurtenances unto the said party of the second part his liens and assigns to the proper use of the said heirs and assigns forever And the said parties of the first part to for themselves their heirs executors and administrators covenant and grant to and with the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns that the said parties of the first part have not done caused suffered or procured to be done any act matter or thing whereby the title of the said party of the first part of in and to the above granted bargained and described land and premises or any part thereof can or may be changed charged altered or defeated in any way whatsoever In witness whereof the said Charles Reeve & Mariah his wife Jacob Reeve & Phebe H his wife Joseph H Reeve & Mary S his wife David Reeve & Electa M his wife Samuel Badgely & Betsey his wife John Clark & Nancy his wife & Stephen Tennley & Sarah C his wife have hereunto set their hand and seal the day and year above written.
