Transcript
In the name of God Amen I Isaac Reeve of the township of Springfield in the county of Essex and State of New Jersey being weak in body, but of sound mind and memory and understanding for which blessing I most? devoutly thank God. do make and publish this my last will and Testament in manner and form following that is to say:First it is my will and I do order that all my just debts and funeral expenses be paid and satisfied as soon as conveniently can be after my decease.
Item. I give and Bequeath unto my beloved wife Betsey Reeve all my personal and real estate to be used by her and for her comfort and to enable her to bring up my young Daughter Mary as long as she remains my widow and after my wife death or marriage then it my will that the property that may remain shall be equally divided among all my children share and alike or the survivors or survivor of them as the case may be
I do hereby authorize my executors or the survivors of them in case my personal estate should prove insufficient to pay all my debts to sell land and they are hereby ordered and impowered to give good and sufficient title or deeds for the same.
Lastly I hereby appoint my wife Betsy Reeve and my son John G Reeve executors of this my last will and testament and guardian to my daughter Mary
