State of Alabama St Clair County
To all who are concerned know ye that I Anderson Reeves of the County and State aforesaid being aflicted in body but in my proper and right mind do make ordain and declare this instrument to be my last will and testament as follows viz
Item 1st After my death I will and bequeath unto my son Charles Marion Reeves a one hundred dollar horse - and to my son Harvey Jackson one hundred and twenty five dollars and to my son Joseph one hundred and twenty five dollars and to my son Jesse one hundred and twenty five dollars - and to my daughter Elizabeth fifty dollars and to my daughter Elvira fifty dollars and to my daughter Josephine fifty dollars and to my daughter Jane fifty dollars and to my daughter Clementine fifty dollars the above amounts to be paid out of my estate the remaining part of my property consisting of three negroes namely Jincey Rody and Adalin - And the certain tract of land on which I reside now - one waggon give head horses and the entire stock of cattle hog and sheep all household and kitchen furniture all farming tools &c I will and bequeath unto my dear beloved wife Louiza who is now left a widow for her support and maintenance during her lifetime and at her death to be disposed of as she may direct.
Item 2nd I nominate and appoint David Montgomery executor of this my last will and testament In testimony whereof I hereunto sign my name and fix my seal on this the twenty sixth day of February one thousand eight hundred and fifty three.
