Transcription

This Indenture made this 12th day of November eighteen hundred and fifty nine between John U. Reeves and Winefred his wife of the first part and William Frasier of the second part Witnesseth that for and and (sic) inconsideration of the sum of thirteen hundred good and lawfull money of Virginia in hand paid by the said William Frasier to the said John U. Reeves and Winefred Reeves his wife before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged by the said John U. Reeves and Winefred his wife they the said John U. Reevis (sic) and Winefred his wife has this day bargained and sold and by these presents doth bargain & sell unto the said William Frasier & his heirs forever a certain tract or parcel of land in the County of Prince William State of Virginia the same being the land purchased by the said John U. Reeves from S. Lynn & M. F. Norman under a degree (sic decree?) of the Circuit Superior Court of the County of Prince William contained one hundred and thirty acres more or less To have an to hold the said tract or parcel of land and its appurtenances at ever to the only proper use use (sic) of him the said William Frasier and his heirs forever and the said John U. Reeves and Winefred his wife for themselves nd their heirs executors or administrators doth covenant to and with the said William Frasier his heirs and assigns by these presents in manner and and (sic) form following: to wit that they the said John U. Reeves and Winefred his wife and their heirs the said lot or arcel of land an its appurtenances hereby granted or intended so to be unto the said William Frasier and his heirs and assigns against them the said John U. Reeves and Winefred his wife their heirs and assigns and all persons whatever Will warrant and forever defend in general warranty Witness the signature and seals

Prince William County to wit
We John Underwood and Seymour Lynn Justices of the Peace in the county aforesaid do certify that John U. Reeves and Winefred his wife parties to a certain deed bearing date the 12th day of November eighteen hundred and fifty nine hereto annexed personally came before us in our County and state aforesaid and acknowledged the said writing to be their act and deed and we do also certify that the said Winefred Reeves the wife of the said John U. Reeves was examined by us privily and apart from her husband and having the said deed fully explained to her she the said Winefred Reeves acknowledged the same to be her act and deed & declared that she had willingly signed sealed and delivered the same and wished not to retract it Given under our hands and seals this 12th of November 1859.

In Prince William County Court August 6th 1866
                    This Deed from Reeves & wife to Frasier which was admitted to record July 13th 1860 and the book in which said Deed was recorded having been lost or destroyed it is ordered to be again recorded
