Transcript

For the consideration of Six hundred and sixty five dollars I have this day bargained and sold and do herebye transfer and convey to Y S Pickard the following tract or parcel of land lying and situate in the County of Maury and state of Tennessee in civil district number 12 near Mt Pleasant and bounded as follows to wit. On the south by the … of Samuel Parker, on the east by land belonging to Mrs Lucy Ann Kyne. On the north by the land of Jacob F Guthrie and on the west by Jacob F Guthries lots. To have and to hold the same to the said Y S Pickard, his heirs and assigns for ever I do covenant with the said Pickard his heirs and assigns that I am lawfully seized of said land, have a good sight to convey the same and that the same is unencumbered this 6th day of march 1860

Personally appeared before me John B Padgett clerk of the county court of said county the above named James V Reaves the bargainer with whom I am personally aquainted and who has so lodged that be executed the foregoing deed for the purpose therein contained.
