Transcript

Know all men that I Manasah Reeves of Waverly Breemer County in the State of Iowa, being of sound mind and memory for which blessing I am Greatful to Almighty God do by these presents make publish and declare this my last will and testament. That all the property both real and personal of which I may die seized wherever situated and of what nature soever be disposed of as specified in this will.
First. That all my just debts be paid by my executor out of my estate including the expenses of my last sickness and funeral and also of administration on my estate.
Second That all my Real estate situated in the County of Buchanan in Iowa, and also all my Real Estate situated in the County of Breemer in Iowa including town lots in the village of Waverly in said Breemer County be sold by my executor and Converted into cash.
Third, That all my personal estate of which I may die seized shall be sold by my executor and converted into cash.
Fourth I give and bequeath unto my well beloved son Ozias Reeves the sum of ten Dollars to be paid by my executor out of my estate, this is not through want or lack of love or regard for my son but because I have already advanced to him, in my opinion fully an equal share with the other heirs of my estate.
Fifth I give devise and bequeath unto my well beloved children as follows, unto my son Benjamin M. Reeves one sixth part, and unto my son Norman A Reeves one sixth part, and unto my Daughter Mrs. Hittable H. Robbins one sixth part, and unto my Daughter Alyina? Harman one sixth part, and unto my son William P. Reeves one sixth part and unto my Nephew William H. Hart one twelfth part, and unto my niece Mary L. Hart one twelfth part, of the estate of which I may die seized, after first paying my debts & expenses of administration, and the said sum of ten dollars to my son Ozias.
Sixth That part of my estate willed to William H. Hart and Mary L. Hart shall remain under the care and custody of my executor untill they the said heirs arive at the age of legal majority respectively and then to be paid to them, or in case either of them be dead then to his or her heirs as the case may be.
Seventh I also hereby make constitute and appoint George W. Ruddick of Waverly Breemer County Iowa Executor of this my last will and Testament.
Done at Wverly in the County of Breemer and State of Iowa on this 12th day of December AD 1863

The above named Manasah Reeves in our presence & in the presence of each of us and to us published and declared the aforegoing instrument to be his last will and testament and executed the same in our presence, and requested us to witness the same this 12th day of December 1863.

I Wm H Barton County Judge within and for said Couty do hereby certify that on the 15th day of October 1858 the foregoing will of Manasah Reeves decd was in the said Court duly proved, allowed, admitted to Probate and of Record and is Recorded in first Book of Wills on page 118 & 19 witness my hand and the seal of the said Court this 16th October 1868.
