APPROACHING NUPTIALS

Prof. Ferrell Will Wed an Alabama Lady, Aug. 16.

A special from Birmingham, Ala., to the Nashville American says: "The announcement is made of the engagement of Miss Tennis Taliaferro, of this city, and Prof. C. C. Ferrell, who holds the chair of English in the University of Mississippi. The wedding will occur on Wednesday, Aug 16. Miss Taliaferro is a graduate this year of the Pollock-Stephens Institute of this city, and is the daughter of Mrs. E. T. Taliaferro."

Prof. Ferrell is a son of Maj. J. O. Ferrell, of this city, and is an exceedingly bright young man. he is now here on a visit to his parents.
