DOROTHY HILBURN REEVES
NAKINA -- Dorothy Hilburn Reeves, 83, died Tuesday, May 22, 2007, at Rich Square. She was born Oct. 26, 1923 in Columbus County, the daughter of the late Cleve and Ella Gause Hilburn. She was the widow of Leo Reeves. Reeves was a member of Poley Bridge Baptist Church.
Final rites will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, May 25, at Peacock's Chapel In The Pines with the Rev. Tim Moore officiating. Burial will follow in the Porter Swamp Baptist Church Cemetery. Peacock's Funeral Home of Whiteville is handling the arrangements.
Survivors include a daughter, Joyce Bennett of Rich Square; a son, Michael Leo Reeves of Chattanooga, Tenn.; a brother, Bobby Earl Hilburn of Chadbourn; two sisters, Arlene Temple of Westminster, Md. and Leona Moulsdale of Fayetteville; and five grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Thursday, May 24 (tonight) at the funeral home.
