PEMBROKE PINES, Fla. — Morris Aruthur Reeves, 83, formerly of Hallsboro, died Monday, Feb. 23, 2009, at Memorial Hospital West. He was the son of the late James Arthur Reeves and Flossie Mae Dew Reeves.
Reeves served in the United States Army during World War II and as a Mason and Shriner. He worked with BF Goodrich for 25 years where he retired and then worked with the New Port Yachting Center in Rhode Island and retired at 67 years of age.
Final rites will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 1, at McKenzie Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Strole officiating. Burial will follow in the Pierce Cemetery in Hallsboro.
Survivors include a daughter, Dorice Lyman Reeves of Houston, Texas; and a brother, William Elwood Reeves of Ocean Isle Beach; and a sister, Betty R. Boney of Jacksonville
