Reeves DNA Project Updates - 3q 2020
The third quarter of 2020 has seen seven new members join the Reeves DNA Project, taking the total membership at the end of September to 367.
In July we welcomed Brian & Ronald, whose kits are being managed by Louise and Linda respectively. August saw three new members; Yvonne who is managing her father George's results, Cheryl and Sam. Thus far in September we have two additional members; Hatte who is managing her cousin Robert's kit and Nanalee who is managing her son Ken's kit. As far as I'm able to ascertain only one of these seven new members is also a TRP community member.
During the past quarter we've received the results for six new Y-DNA Donor members and as previously announced in July formed a new DNA Group 21.

Kit 937997 for George C Reeves added to DNA Group 04 TRP is grateful to Yvonne for providing DNA Donor Consent on behalf of her father. We would encourage the other five individuals or their representatives to make contact and allow us to identify them within TRP.We've seen new Family Finder results for two existing members and no new mt-DNA results for Reeves DNA Project members during the past quarter.
As Beverly noted when she created our latest DNA Group 21, the individuals concerned didn't have usual variants of the surname REEVES. However we were assured that there were well documented instances of the Donor's surnames mutating into Reeve/Reeves. It is disappointing to note that neither member of this new group (nor their kit managers) have yet joined us at TRP and contributed People Pages showing this surname's mutation.
