Based upon census records, there is no indication that Rosamond Doughton and Pinkney Lewis had any children.

Rosamond was single at the time of her father's death for she is recorded using her maiden name of Doughton in the deeds associated with the disbursement of his property and signed her name as "Rosamond Doughton".

Online information suggests that the father of J. Horton Doughton was a neighbor in Ashe County by the name of Maxwell but no documentation has been found.
