Staffordshire is a landlocked county in the West Midlands of England. Historically it was bounded to the north east and east by Derbyshire, to the east by Leicestershire and to the south east by Warwickshire. The county of Worcestershire is to the south and note the market town of Dudley is an enclave of Worcestershire within Staffordshire. Shropshire lies to the west and Cheshire is to the north west.Stafford is the county town.
