Location and Adjacent Counties

Warwickshire is a landlocked county in the English West Midlands. It was bounded to the north east by Leicestershire, to the east by Northamptonshire and to the south east by Oxfordshire. To the south west the boundary is messy, with detached portions of Worcestershire and Gloucestershire. To the west is Worcestershire and to the north west Staffordshire.

The historic county town is Warwick.
