Stansted, Kent

Location

Stansted is an ancient parish, in the hundred of Wrotham. It sits on the North Downs in the north west of the County of Kent. It is approximately nine miles south of Gravesend and Sevenoaks is about the same distance to the south-west. The county town of Maidstone is about twelve miles to the east south east.

Adjacent (Pre 1832) Parishes

To the east of Stansted lie the parishes of Meopham and Trottiscliffe. To the south is Platt and Wrotham. To the west, north and north-east is Ash also known as Ash-next-Ridley.
