Barnsley (Parish of St John), Yorkshire (WRY)
Location
The Parish of St John the Baptist, Barnsley is an ecclesiastical district created out of the ancient parish of
Silkstone, in the West Riding of Yorkshire. The town of Barnsley was additionally served by the parishes of
Barnsley, St Mary (which lies to its east and south) and
Barnsley, St George (to the west and north).
Parish Church
The Parish (CofE) Church is St John, Barnsley was demolished in the 1960's. It stood on Joseph Street. See
