The 1810 census of Wayne County, NC lists a "Lovard" Reaves which is very probably an error by the enumerator and the person is actually Lovett Reaves. The Lovard Reaves listed is 26-44 years old as is his wife and the household includes 4 children under 10 years old. The tax lists of Wayne County for 1810 also list a "Lawvit Reaves" with 290 acres and 1 white poll. Both of these records would appear to apply to Lovett Reaves, the son of William Reaves and Elizabeth Carraway.

Lovett was of Hancock County, Georgia in 1818 when he and his wife Milley sold land she had inherited from Reuben Johnston in Duplin County, North Carolina.

A Lovet Reeves, age 20-29, is recorded in Baldwin County, Georgia in the 1830 census and may be his son Lovett, Jr.

Lovit Reaves is listed in the Georgia Land Lottery of 1827, but by 1831 he is listed with land patents in Montgomery County, Alabama along with his son Joseph.

According to family information, Fannie Jane and her brothers, Lovett, Joseph, Matthew, and Reuben, all came to Bradley County (originally Union County), Arkansas in 1836 after their father, Lovett, went there to scout out the land. Their father unfortunately died, but their mother, Eleanor Jane, went with the family to Arkansas in 1836.
