He was living in the Fauquier - Loudon area in 1791.

Hutchinson researchers indicate that Joshua Reeve married Mary Hutchinson, daughter of John Hutchinson (1745-1825) and Margaret (1747-), who settled on McAdoo Creek in Montgomery Co., TN, about 1796, after leaving Shenandoah Co., VA.

Hutchinson reseachers indicate that Joshua and Mary sold their land in Virginia in 1798 and that by 1802 Mary Reeve, a widow, had joined her family in Montgomery Co., TN, where she married Benjamin Mason in 1802.

The Hutchinson Chronicles states that Joshua sold his land in Prince William in 1798 but was deceased by 19 September 1802, when Mary's brother Benjamin signed a marriage bond in Montgomery Co., TN, for her marriage to Benjamin Mason.
