On both the 1860 Agriculture Schedule of DeKalb County, Alabama as well as the Slave Schedule of the county for that year, Noah V. Reeves is listed with his property and an Elisha T. Bristow is shown as his agent; however but to date,; however, Noah and family are recorded on the 1860 Census in Winston County, Alabama..

Noah Vann Reeve enlisted in the 28th Regiment of Alabama Infantry, CSA on 18 Feb 1862 in Jasper, Alabama.

The inscription on the tombstone of wife Francis at the Kelly Mill Cemetery in Black Pond, Winston County, Alabama is records that Francis was the wife of N,. V. Reeve who was killed in the Civil War.
