Narrative

Children of Wiley Reeve and Anny French:
  1. Ruth Reeve, m. Elisha Brown
  2. Sarah Reeve
  3. George Washington Reeves, b. 1832, d. after 1900 Arkansas
  4. Mary Jane Reeves
  5. Martha Ann Reeves
  6. Francis Louisa Reeves, possibly Eliza instead of Louisa since an Eliza is named as an heir of Wiley in probate documents of George W. Reeve's estate, but not a Francis Louisa.
The four children who were minors at the time are documented in the estate files of Marshall County, AL as the children of Wiley Reeve and heirs of George Washington Reeve. The 1850 Petition to sell the land of George W. Reeve lists "the following heirs of Wiley Reeve decd son of said deceased to wit Ruth Brown wife of Elisha Brown Sarah Reeve George Reeve Jane Reeve Martha Reeve and Eliza Reeve."

It appears that Wiley's widow, Anny French Reeve is the person who married Redden Reeves on 25 Dec 1842 in DeKalb County, Georgia. Wiley's sister, Cynthia Reeve, apparently died in 1842 as the youngest minor child of Cynthia's listed in the estate files of Marshall County AL is Nutty Louisa Reeves who was born in 1842 according to census records.

In the Greenville County, SC Equity roll 67 from 1833, the children and heirs of John Peter French are named. Anny Reeves, wife of Wiley Reeves is named. They are said to be living in Georgia, and what appears to read Gwinnet County.
