Amos, along with his brother Joseph was living in Hahanaman, Illinois in 1870. In 1920, he was in Benton Harbor with a nephew F. M. Kerry.The Herald-Palladium, 28 Mar 1923
G.A.R. HOLDS SERVICES FOR AMOS REEVES
Rev. O. W. Chessman, pastor of the First Baptist church, officiated at the funeral services for Amos Reeves, Civil war veteran, who died Saturday at the home of Dr. and Mrs. F. M. Kerry, conducted this morning from the Esalhorst chapel at 10 o'clock. The George H. Thomas post of the G. A. R. had charge of the services.
E. C. Edmunds, accompanied by Mrs. H. U. Rapp. sang. "Consolation," and "When I Go Home." Bearers were: B. D. Johns. C. E. McClave, Valores Kerry, and Chester Holloway. Burial was at the Morton Hill cemetery.
