Man Killed By Boy.
The coroner's inquest into the death of Dave Reeves in the lower part of the county resulted in a verdict to the effect that Reeves came to his death from a blow with a plank in the hands of Huber Lowery, a small boy, through accident. The boy, on Sunday afternoon, it seems, threw the plank at another boy, but missed him and struck Reeves in the temple. [unreadable] The boy is about 13 years of age. Mr. Reeves was 34 years old and leaves a wife and two children. Funeral services were held Tuesday morning, conducted by Rev. Mr. Owens, of Westille, and burial was at Fork Hill cemetery.
Death Certificate says he died 9 Sep 1920, but this must have been the reporting date. He could not have died after the newspaper reported his death. Says the burial was 10 August at Fork Hill, so he must have died 9 August.
