My father served in the Marine Corps during the Korean War. He worked in heavy construction all his life. We moved a lot because of this. We have lived in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Alabama, Louisiana. He helped build DFW Airport, I-30 through DFW, Loop 820 in DFW, Fort Gibson Lock and Damn in Oklahoma and the Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway in Mississippi and Alabama. Out of the 16 Locks and Damns built, my father worked on 9 of them.
