Edison Reeves married Mary Ann Knight in Carroll Co., GA, on 22 November 1838. Mary Ann was born about 1822 in Georgia. She was a daughter of Carrington Knight and Lewhaney Hobson Knight, formerly of Jasper Co., GA, who appeared in the Reeves household in Carroll Co., GA, in 1850. Edison and Mary Ann were enumerated in neighboring Coweta County in 1840, soon after they married. In 1850, Nancy Brantley, 24, GA, and her infant son John C. Brantley were living with the family.
