Death of Mrs. Elizabeth Moffitt
Mrs. Elizabeth Moffitt, a well-known and highly respected pioneer woman of Henry County, died about nine o'clock yesterday (Thursday) morning at the home of her son, Sherman Moffitt, near Cadiz. She had been a sufferer several years. She was the widow of Calvin Moffitt, who died a number of years ago, and would have been seventy-eight years old next month. Mrs. Moffitt had spent practically all her life in Henry County. She is survived by six children - Will, Columbus and Asa Moffitt, all of this vicinity, and Sherman Moffitt, of near Cadiz; Mrs. D. C. Griffin, of New Castle, and Mrs. Albert Chandler, of Dunreith. The funeral will be held at Raysville Friends church Saturday at noon.
