Ephraim was living in Shenandoah County, Virginia in 1810, apparently married with three daughters under 10. This would appear to be the Ephraim "Reivas" who married Nancy Swayney 4 Aug 1807 in Shenandoah County.

He appears in deed records from Shenandoah County in 1812.

This is probably the Ephraim Reeves who is listed from Virginia in the index to War of 1812 soldiers in several different Militias.

He appears on personal property tax lists in Shenandoah from 1811 to 1818. His estate is listed in 1819 and Nancy is listed in 1820 and 1821.

According to a listing of a lone headstone for "Ephriam Reevs" in Shenandoah County, he died 25 Dec 1818. The directions to the cemetery are provided as follows: "On Rt. 623 slightly northeast of Mt. Olive, turn northwest onto Rt. 697 and proceed to the end of state maintenance sign with 9 mailboxes on the left. Turn right on a road leading to a residence. The cemetery lies about 100 yards north of the main dwelling and at the edge of the yard."

The estate of Ephraim "Reaves" was appraised Apr 1819 according to Shenandoah County probate records.

Nancy Reeves appears as head of household in the 1820 census in Shenandoah County.

There is a headstone for an Ephraim Reeves in Shields Chapel Cemetery, Canton, Fulton County, Illinois. It states he was born in Shenandoah Co., Va. and died March 24, 1877, aged 63 yrs 14 ds. In the same cemetery is Nancy Reeves who died Jun 1843, aged 57y 6m.
