Eustus was first taxed in Upson Co., GA, in 1828, at which time he was a defaulter in GMD 537. This record corresponds with the birth year (1807) given on his gravestone.

Eustace lived most of his adult life in Upson Co., GA. He was a Justice of the Peace and a road commissioner for Flint District in 1845. He was apparently omitted from the 1850 census but was living in GMD 537, Double Bridges P.O., in 1860, when he appeared in HH 296/270: Eustace H. Reeves, 52, GA, Farmer, $3000/$9035, GA; E. E., 45, GA; J. B. W., 22, male, GA, School Teacher, $100; J. F. B., 18, male, student, GA; S. E. E., 16, Serving, GA, female; E. H. R., 14, male, GA; J. W. T., 11, male, GA; Wm. T. G., 8, male, GA; G. A., 5, female, GA; T. A. B., 4, female, GA; J. A. D. Mann, 13, male, GA.

He is listed as a member of the Emmaus Primitive Baptist Church on the church membership list in 1839. (FindaGrave note)

Eustace and Elizabeth are buried in Flint River Cemetery near Roland, Upson Co., GA. Elizabeth was born 18 December 1814 and died 7 March 1893. Their tombstone indicates that they married 19 February 1837.

Son James W. T. Reeves seems to be the James T. Reeves (1851-1922) buried in the Trice Cemetery, Upson Co., GA.

Research Notes

It appears through Ancestry DNA ThruLines DNA Group 2 is related via. son James W.T. Reeves and his son Benjamin King Reeves and his son Toby Wright Reeves and then private generations. There needs to be more research before this information can be relied upon.
