Letters of administration were granted to Wiley and James Reeves for the estate of Frederick Reeves on 16 Oct 1820. Frederick Reeves extensive estate totaled $11,000.47 which was divided among the nine heirs named above.
Several of the sons of Frederick Reeves - James, Hiram and Samuel, appear to have left York County, South Carolina shortly after the 1830 US Census and migrated to Obion County, Tennessee. By 1840 the same three Reeves individuals are recorded in Obion County, Tennessee in that census and again in 1850. However by the 1850 census Samuel Reeves appears to have died and his wife Jane is listed as the head of household.
