Fifth known child of Samuel & Eliza (nee Trapp). Identified on 1871 & 1881 census in the household of his father at Twigs Lane, Marchwood in Hampshire. He was baptised on 15 Nov 1868, at St. John's, Marchwood, Hants.

He marries Anna Beatrice Rogers. Their marriage in the Lymington Registration District of Hampshire is recorded in the GRO index for Jan-Mar 1897 (vol 2b page 901).
