I have many fond memories of my Papaw. He worked in coal mines early in his life. In the 1950s, he made the move the heavy equipment. Mostly cranes. He and my father worked on the same jobs, so most of my young life was spent moving around. I was more likely to be at my grandparents home than my own. My grandfather's last job was helping to build DFW Airport. He was working there when we lost my grandmother to a heart attack. He retired and moved to Tipton, Oklahoma.
