The Daily Journal, 16 Jan 1973Lew A. Reeves of Methodist Home dies
Lew A. Reeves, 92, a United Methodist Home resident of Franklin, died Monday at the home's health center. He was a retired mechanical engineer and had worked at Arvin Industries for 32 years.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Methodist Home chapel by chaplain Rev. James Ray.
Friends may call at the Memory Room there after 2 p.m. Wednesday. Arrangements were made by Vandivier-Parsley Funeral Home in Franklin.
Reeves was born May 1, 1880 in Indianapolis to Dallas and Mary (Hill) Reeves. He married Mae Elizabeth Hunter in 1925. Mrs. Reeves survives at the Methodist Home, which the couple entered eight years ago.
Mr. and Mrs. Reeves had previously lived at Mashville and Columbus, Indiana, and Reeves was a member of the Nashville United Methodist church and a 50-year member of the Columbus Masonic lodge.
There are no other survivors.
Appears to have lived with parents until he married. His mother Mary Reeves living with them in 1940, so she probably moved in after Lew's father died.

Although his death certificate, World War II Draft card and other records state he was born in 1880, he is listed as age 4 on the 1880 and the 1900 census states he was born May 1876.Sources
