The will of David Cox written on 26 Oct. 1857. and proved April term 1862, names daughter Pegga Gambill wife of John Gambill, daughter Jane Krowse (sic Crouse] wife of John Krowse, son George R. Lucy Reeves Cox was recorded in the 1850 census of Ashe County NC in the household of David Cox; however, she was not mentioned in the will of David Cox above which indicates that she was deceased by the time it was written in October of 1857.
