Mrs. Minnie Mason, 100, Dies at Daughter's Home
Mrs. Minnie R. Mason, 100 years old, former resident of Columbus and the widow of Arthur W. Mason, died Tuesday at Sarasota, Fla., where she had made her home with a daughter the past years.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Hathaway funeral home by Dr. Ard Hoven, pastor of First Christian church. Burial will be at Garland Brook cemetery. Persons may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. Sunday.
Survivors are the daughter, Mrs. Ross Caldwell of Sarasota, and a son, W. R. Mason of Indianapolis, formerly of Columbus.
Mrs. Mason was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. B. Reeves and belonged to Monday Literary club and First Christian church. She was born May 17, 1865.
Her husband, who died in 1955, taught piano, voice and organ in Columbus, and at one time was a faculty member at the Jordan Conservatory of music in Indianapolis. He also was a supervisor of music on Columbus schools.
Brother Harry E. Reeves was living with her in 1900.
