Nathan Reeves, 86, colored, of 1219-C 14th St., died at 2:15 a.m. today at his residence, following a week's illness.
He was born April 2, 1866, at Flemingsburg, a son of Jesse and Mandy Spencer Reeves. A retired brickmason, he had resided in Portsmouth for 24 years.
He was a member of Beulah Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Rachael Reeves, and the following children, Alvin Reeves, 1020 13th St., Donald Reeves, with the Army at Ft. Leonard Wood, Mo., Amos Reeves, Mrs. Mamie Lee Green and Miss Mary Willie Reeves, all of Washington, Ky.
Funeral arrangements are pending the arrival of the son in the armed services. The body is at Brock Funeral Home.
