He was in the Civil War as private in Co. H, 8th Georgia Infantry. Service record states he was born in Floyd Co., Georgia and died in Charlottesville, Virginia the 20th April 1862. The description of him with list of pay gives the following information:

Note: The above Noah Reeve died at Charlottsville of Fever the 20th April 1862. He is entitled to pay from 20th Feby 62 to 20th April 1862 being 2 moths at $11 pr month.
His widow Paulina Reeves received the money from his service. Some of the papers describe him dying of typhoid and fever.
Nashville, Tennessee City Directories show Pauline Reeves, widow of Noah, residing at 150 S. Vine (St.) on Nashville in 1878, 1880, and 1882.
