Thomas was third blacksmith of Southampton, Long Island in the year 1672. Land records of Southampton also place him there as early as 1672 when he sold some property.
An Inventory of his Estate, including his dwelling and “Smith” Shop, appears in Suffolk County, N. Y. Court Sessions Records which also show that administration of his estate was granted to his widow Rebecca in September, 1685.
His wife Rebecca who survived him and married second Benjamin Davis who died in 1692. Rebecca Davis died in 1694 and her eldest son John was then appointed administrator of her deceased husband Benjamin Davis' estate. Daughters Hannah and Abigail were bound out to other Southampton residents which is recorded in the town records.
From the Southampton town records:
April ye 8th 1684. Rebeca Reeves the wife of Thomas Reeves gives in ye time of ye birth of her foure children which is as followeth.
Her son John was borne the 15 day of July 1673.
Her daughter Rebecca was borne ye 1st day of march 1676.
Her son Thomas was born ye 3d day of October 1679.
Her daughter Hannah was born ye 9th day of Feb 1681.
Thomas Reeves gives in the birth day of his daughter Abigail to be upon ye 22d day of September 1684.
Richard Wood was married to Hannah Reeves daughter of Thomas Reeves April 10 1704
