Children of Thomas Reeves:
  1. Mary Lovette Reeves, b. 1856, GA, d. 1901, FL, m. Wilson Wood Moreland, b. 1854, d. 1930. The Morelands were in McIntosh, Marion Co., FL, in 1900. She is buried in the Boardman Cemetery.
  2. Virgil Reeves, b. 1859. He was at home in 1880.

Thomas Reeves, age 37, was living in HH 402/402, Jones Mill P.O., Meriwether Co., GA, in 1870. An African-American couple working as a farm hand and housekeeper were shown with him, but his children were not shown. His ten year old son Virgil was in HH 405/405 as a farm hand living with an African-American Reeves family. Thomas Reeves owned $1500/$500 in property in 1870.

Thomas was shown as a widower in 1880 with his son, daughter, son-in-law, and Moreland grandchildren. He was a Justice of the Peace in Meriwether County and a judge in Florida. The obituary of Mary Moreland, published in the textMeriwether Vindicatortext in 1901, identifies her as a daughter of "the late Judge Thomas A. Reeves."
