In 1900, Thomas was age 16, living in the household of his mother Matilda Reeves in Magnet, Arkansas.

By 1910, he was living in Harrison with his wife Gertie (19) and children Devoy (3) and Addie M. (1).

The census consistently lists his wife's name as Gertie or Gertrude and most children's birth certificate states their mother's name was Ammie Gertrude Rhodes.

SPRINGHILL - Funeral services for Thomas W. Reeves, 87, will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the Bailey Mortuary with the Rev. Allie Johnson officiating, assisted by the Rev. Lloyd Davis. Burial will be in the Brush Creek Cemetery in the Malvern, Ark. with graveside services at 2 p.m.
Mr. Reeves died Monday.
Survivors include his widow; two sons, Edgar D. Reeves of Cullen and Harvey A. Reeves of Camden, Ark,; three daughters, Mrs. Abbie Mae Haynes of Bossier City, Mrs. Zelma Taylor of Springhill, and Mrs. Ruby O. Gray of Bivens, Tex.; 10 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.
