Narrative

1925 Jupiter Directory- a civil engineer and owner/manager of the Wayside Inn.
The Palm Beach Post, Issue of 14 April 1926 reported that Mr. Reeves had been re-elected to serve a second term of two years as Mayor of Jupiter.
1930 Jupiter, Palm Bch Co., FL. He was a lawyer who practiced law in Illinois until he retired to Jupiter.

William H. Reeves To Be Buried Today:
Funeral services for William H. Reeves, 63, retired lawyer and prominent civic leader of Jupiter, who died early Sunday morning at a local hospital, after suffering a second stroke of paralysis Saturday afternoon, will be held this afternoon at 3 o'clock at the residence at Jupiter. The Rev. William P.S Lander, rector of the Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, will officiate. Burial will be in the Jupiter cemetery. Mr. Reeves was born in Summerville, Tenn., July 30, 1860. He lived in Chicago and practiced law there for 20 years when he retired and moved to Florida. He was admitted to the Florida bar but never practiced.
He was mayor of Jupiter for the years of 1926-27 and was treasurer and member of the town council at the time of his death. Mr. Reeves was well known as a lecturer, having appeared in many of the schools and at public meetings.
He made a special study of Shakespeare's life and works.
Mr. Reeves owned and operated the Wayside inn at Jupiter for the past 14 years.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Florence I. Reeves and two brothers and one sister who live in the north.
