William Henry Reeves, son of Peter May and Julia Ann Ford Reeves, was born 15 Aug 1861 in Gainesville, Greene County, Arkansas. He married Delsa A. Dick 30 Apr 1884 in Gainesville.

Delsa A. Dick Reeves, daughter of William L. (b. 1840) and Martha E. Williams Dick (b. 1838) was born in 1866 in Kentucky. According to the 1880 Federal Census, Delsa lived in Sandywood, Scott County, Missouri. Not much is known about her or her family. Delsa died sometime after the birth of her son, Luther in 1895 and before 15 Jun 1900. (In the 1900 Census, Henry is listed as “Widowed”.) It is unknown where she is buried.

William Osmer Reeves was previously unknown as a brother to Luther. After the death of Delsa, according to the 1900 Census, Osmer went to live with his Uncle George (Henry’s brother). Uncle George moved to Arkansas and Osmer then went to live with his Uncle Frank (also Henry’s brother), as evidenced in the 1910 Census. Luther lived as a ward with Rev. Robert C. and Lucy Young, according to the 1900 Census. However, on the 1910 Census, Luther had moved back home with his father and stepmother, Lula Belle.

After Delsa’s death, Henry had married Lula Belle Wallace on 17 Feb 1902 in Kennett. Lula was born 8 Mar 1884 in Missouri and died 25 Dec 1972 in Dunklin County, Missouri. She is buried with Henry in the Oak Ridge Cemetery in Kennett, MO.

Henry died 20 Mar 1947 and is buried in the Oak Ridge Cemetery in Kennett, Dunklin County, Missouri.
