William's birth is registered as William Henry Harris 4q1866 in West Bromwich Registration District with mother's maiden name of "—", indicating this mother was unmarried at this time. He grew up in the household of his mother Jane and her husband James Reeves. He took the name Reeves and was considered their son. His death certificates states that his parents were James Reeves and Jane Harris.
His death certificate states he was born 12 Nov 1867 in West "Bromich." But since his birth was registered in 4q1866, it was more likely 12 Nov 1866.
Children's death records state that the mother's name was Fannie Binder.
William is buried in Niles Union Cemetery in Trumbull County, Ohio. It states he was born 10 Nov 1868, again an incorrect date based on the birth registration.
